Don't miss this brand new 1 day trail ride in the same Epic location as the 4 Hour endurance race. Brand new trails - all main trails graded! Expert loops, single track! Kids and novice loops!
The venue is stunning. From new gum forest to pines & existing native forest trails and old farm tracks...a huge variety, it'll be a superb days riding! Access is easy from the road onto an old airstrip with a huge amount of parking for everyone.
Suzuki Trail Tamer is a brand new Epic trail ride in another Epic location! The event is run from the same base we use for the 4 Hour event, and the location provides so much variety. The main trail has been fully graded and is approximately 35km long and features big berms flowing trails, free draining soil (can ride when wet), mega traction, there's great variety here to suit all abilities.
Trail Tamer is available to us for one day of the weekend only. Let's make the most of these fantastic new trails!
GENERAL INFORMATION 2018
Featuring: Flowing forestry trails, native, pine & gums, and old farm tracks on pumice terrain. Awesome variety and great traction! All weather rideable. Trails also include single track and EXPERT ONLY sections.
Directions: The event venue is located on Puketapu Rd, about 10 minutes past the Kinloch turnoff. Look for Epic Events signs & arrows.
Tracks: Long 35km, with expert and novice tracks off this. Kids grass and forest trails.
Suitable for all abilities 2 wheels ONLY.
Registration: From 8.30am. Tracks open 9:30am to 3pm.
Fire extinguishers are compulsory for all adult riders and can be bought on the day for $30.
Food: Food Caravan sells hamburgers, bacon and egg rolls, hot dogs, hot chips, cold drinks and espresso coffee, tea and more.
Entry: Enter on the day. Pay by cash or cheque. Adults $60. Kids 15 years or under $30. Families (Family members only no exeptions Mum, Dad + up to 3 kids) $130.
Safety gear: Helmets, long trousers, long sleeved tops and leather boots that cover the ankle are compulsory. (Gloves, goggles, knee pads, kidney belt and body armour are strongly recommended). Kids on Kids tracks near the base may wear gumboots. Click here for all event safety rules.

Accommodation: There is no camping on site. Epic Events recommends staying at and soaking in the thermal hot pools of www.taupodebretts.com or Wairakei Resort in Taupo. Try book a bach in Kinloch!
