DESCRIPTION
Suzuki Trail Blazer is the North Island's most popular trail ride series. The events are run in the Tahorakuri pine forest on the banks of the Waikato River. The Taupo based ride attracts around 600 riders who enjoy the big berms on the flowing graded trails, free draining soil (can ride when wet), mega traction, great parking, awesome kids tracks, great hot food and espresso coffee.

Saturday - South SideTe Toke Road
Sunday - North Side
Featuring: Flowing forestry trails on pumice terrain. Awesome berms and mega traction! 90% graded by bulldozer every month. All weather rideable. Trails includes single track and EXPERT ONLY sections.
Directions: The forest is located on State Highway 5 (The Taupo toRotorua Road), around 20 minutes drive from Taupo or 40 minutes from Rotorua. Look for Epic Events signs & arrows.
Tracks Saturday: kids grass, kid’s forest, Family 6km, Middle 12km, Long 33km.
Tracks Sunday: kids grass, kid’s forest, novice 1km, Family 8km, Middle 12km and 40km Long trail.
Suitable for all abilities 2 and 4 wheelers.
Registration: From 8.30am. Tracks open 9:30am to 3pm.
Entry: On the day by cash or cheque. Daily Prices: Adults $45, Kids (15 years or under) $25, Families with kids 15 yrs or under $100 (2 adults and up to 3 children). Weekend Adults $80, Kids $40, Families $180.
Fire Extinguishers: Are compulsory for the red arrowed trails and can be bought on the day for $30.

Epic Season Countdown

As the warmer weather approaches the Epic season of Trail Riding counts down. There are just two more opportunities left to enjoy some of the best trail riding New Zealand has to offer.
It all cranks up another notch in just under 2 weeks time with your last chance to ride Suzuki Trail Blazer 10-11 September for 2011. A fantastic 2 day trail ride with something for everyone. This should be another cracker event with all the benefits of 2 days of riding on over 100km of trail at 2 totally separate venues. It is a bit tough on the Epic event staff shifting the set up on Saturday night, but to have another 60km of groomed trail lined up means it makes the effort worth while.
Then we finish off the year in style with the ultimate trail riding experience - Suzuki Desert Storm 8-9 October 2011.

Just wanted to send you a big thank you for the awesome event on the weekend. My Daughter and I only stayed for the Saturday, but must say we really enjoyed the entire day.
The trails were perfect, the bacon and egg sandwiches were delicious and the atmosphere was just awesome. Thanks again for a wonderful day out.

Just got home from Taupo Trail Blazer and just wanted to say Thanks for a great ride
I am 56 years young and had a blast on my quad along with some younger 2 wheeler buddies we really enjoyed the flowing trails
straight flat out sections and the picturesque forest location.
