NEWS 4 FEB 2010: There is a cool new event coming up near Mangakino (30 mins from Taupo). It is called the MIA Wakefest and involves great music including Concord Dawn and others plus the North Island Wakeboarding Champs. This is not an event run by us, but we think it is a great concept. NEWS 4 FEB 2010: We are now the proud owners of the Trans Taupo Kayak/Rowing race. This epic event takes place 20 March along the length of Lake Taupo.
NEWS 3 FEBRUARY 2010: Rocks, sand, hard-packed soil, tree roots, cliff faces, river crossings, rain, mud … it matters not one bit to Auckland's Chris Birch. The Kiwi international will find traction everywhere and Birch and his new Continental GS off-road tyres found all the grip and drive he needed, and then some, on his way to bagging two major wins at the weekend.
